 Module 13: Written Test

Now that you have completed your fist solo, it is time to begin preparing for your written test and checkride. It is important to study each topic in-depth as you prepare.  

Written Exam

1.

You are required to receive an a written endorsement from your instructor to take the written exam.  Make sure that your exam endorsement in your logbook is signed before going to the exam. 

2.

The information on the exam is found in the FAA Handbook of Aeronautical Knowledge, and the Airplane Flying Handbook.  

Now that you have solo'd you will want to find an in-depth way to continue your learning and studying.  An online study-guide or ground school course is highly recommended.

When you are ready to take the written test, you will need to sign up and make an appointment. 

We recommend taking your written test in Battle Creek at WMU's Aviation campus:
