Kalamazoo Flight Instruction will be offering introductory flight lessons at the 2026 Kalamazoo Air Fair. Flights will start at 10:00am on September 26th and go on through the entirety of the event.  The flights will take off from the event at the Kalamazoo Flight Instruction Booth.

 

The introductory flight will include a session with a Certified Flight Instructor.  The instructor will brief the participant about the airplane, show the student how the airplane is operated, and take the student on a 20-25 minute flight lesson.  The participant will have the opportunity to take the controls in flight.  ​​

 

Intro flight participant requirements:

• Age 15 or older 

• Weigh 275 lbs or less

• Our instructors retain the right to refuse a flight with anyone who they feel may be unsafe or unfit for flight. A refund will be provided.

 

Please arrive 10 minutes before your scheduled time.  Participants must check in at the Kalamazoo Flight Instruction (KFI) Booth on the airport tarmac at the Air Fair. No refund will be made for anyone who does not arrive at their slotted time.
