KFI Provides the Following Certificates, Ratings, and Services:

Private Pilot Certificate
This is your chance to dip your toes into aviation for the first time! Learn how to fly a single engine airplane and get your certificate to fly yourself and others around the country.

Certified Flight Instructor (CFI)
Once you’ve mastered your own flying skills, the next step is sharing that knowledge with others. As a Certified Flight Instructor, you’ll gain the ability to train new pilots, build flight experience, and refine your own precision and communication in the cockpit.

Instrument Rating
Once you have joined the pilot community with your new Private Pilot Certificate, the next step is to venture into the world of flying in sub-optimal conditions. Fly through clouds, reduced visibility, and safer separation from other traffic as you fly IFR!

Certified Flight Instructor for Instrument (CFII)
Take your instruction to the next level by teaching advanced instrument flying. A CFII rating allows you to train pilots in the art of precision navigation through clouds and low visibility, developing the next generation of safe, confident IFR pilots.

Commercial Certificate
For those who wish to make aviation a career, a Commercial Rating is a must! However large or small the aircraft you fly, if you wish to get paid for your flying (who doesn't) this rating allows businesses to hire you as a pilot.

Tailwheel Endorsement
Experience aviation in its purest form! The tailwheel endorsement builds your stick-and-rudder skills, sharpens your control inputs, and enhances your overall airmanship. It’s a challenging and rewarding step that connects you with aviation’s classic roots. Learn more about our Tailwheel Program above!

Biennial Flight Review
Stay sharp and stay current! The Biennial Flight Review is a great opportunity to refresh your flying skills, review key regulations, and get personalized feedback from one of our instructors. It’s not just a requirement, it’s a valuable tune-up for safer, more confident flying.
