Pilot Renter's Insurance

Beginning January 1, 2026, all student and pilot renters are required by Kalamazoo Flight Instruction to hold Aircraft Renter's Insurance. Below is our Aircraft Certificate of Insurance and coverage:

Minimum Requirements:

  • Minimum coverage limit of $250,000 per occurrence

  • Policy must have "Loss of Aircraft Use" Insurance

While students and renters are welcome to use any insurance company they desire, we recommend using Dan Peacock. Dan is a pilot and instructor who brokers all insurance for Kalamazoo Flight Instruction. He is very knowledgeable and can help you receive the exact policy you need.
